Short video clip (1 min.) with compilation of images concerning spies and the cold war. About half way through the soundtrack there is music that suggests (but is not identical to) the style and chromatic riff used in the James Bond theme. KS3 idea: Chosing either the original James Bond chromatic riff (B, C, C#, C) or the riff in this clip (E, D#, D, C#), get pupils to compose their own pastiche Bond-style soundtrack for this clip. They should limit added melodies mainly to notes E, F#, G, A and B. They should limit instrumental timbres mainly to sustained strings, deep electric guitar and brass stabs.
